San Remo in the Internatia Song Contest

San Remo will participate in the Internatia Song Contest 10. The San Reman entry was selected through Festival Nacional de la Canción 1, a televised national final that consisted of one final. Julieta Venegas will represent San Remo with the Spanish language song "Me Voy".

National final

The first edition of Festival Nacional de la Canción was held in the capital Rhea. Five acts competed, four Spanish songs and one Portuguese song. The winner was decided by 11 professional juries from different Internatian countries, who awarded 12, 10 and 8 points to their 3 favorite songs. "Me Voy" won by a 26-point margin, having been ranked first by five of the juries.

At Internatia

At Internatia, San Remo had to compete in the first semi-final. Julieta Venegas performed 21st in the running order, following Tikata and preceding Swelatie. San Remo qualified to the final for the first time in the country's history.

In the final, Julieta Venegas will perform 7th in the running order, following Mukaltin and preceding host Bitland.
