Bartlett participated in the Outernatia Song Contest 40 in Suacaerus, Auspikitan with the song "Perfect Places" by Lorde, selected through the national final BASIC. It qualified for the Final where it placed 18th.

Bartlett Broadcasting Corporation (BarBC) announced that it would continue selecting Bartlett's representative to OSC using Bartlett Assembly of Songs for International Competitions (BASIC). For OSC 40, three songs were again selected to compete, and the winner was selected from votes by international juries. After two weeks of voting, the international juries selected "Perfect Places" by Lorde with 52.83% of the votes.

Semi-final
Bartlett was drawn 17th in the First Semi-final, performing between Thorway and Shoux Flad. It placed 6th with 65 points, thus qualifying for the Final.
Final
Bartlett was drawn fifth in the Final, performing between Gandhara and Asankon. It placed 18th with 69 points, getting 12 points from Asankon and Thorway.
