Asankon participated in the Outernatia Song Contest 38 in Kaministiquia with the song "Sun Comes Up" by Rudimental featuring James Arthur. Selected using the national final The Asankoni Song, the song qualified in the 1st Semi-final and ended 18th in the Grand Final.

Before the Contest

Asankon sucessfuly debuted in Oalia attaining a fourth place. Pressure was on the broadcaster to keep up the good result and expectations were high. The Asankon Radio and Television Corporation(ARTVC) announced that it will hold a national final especially for the contest. Six songs by British artists were chosen to participate in the National Final. After a few weeks of voting, the international juries from Spinachia, Bartlett, Daǔlska, Mărium, Kimmystan and Unovah selected "Sun Comes Up" to represent the country in Kaministiquia. The runner up "Heartland" was sent to the Internatia Second Chance Contest by the Asankoni Fan Group OAMF (Organisation of Asankoni Music Fans).

Semi-finals

Asankon was drawn to perform 18th in Semi-final 1, between the songs from Equatoria and Shoux Flad. It ranked eigth in the semi-final with 66 points.

Finals

Asankon was drawn to perform 18th in the final, between the songs from Ponasikwa and Gandhara. It received 68 points, eventually ranking 18th at the end of the contest due to the disqualification of D.Va. This remained Asankon's worst result to date until OSC 45 where Asankon came 20th.
