Asankon performed in the second semi final of the 37th edition of the Outernatia Song Contest in the second half of the show. It was revealed that Asankon was amongst the 11 qualifiers of the Semi Final and will now compete in the final of the Outernatia Song Contest 37 in running order slot 17.
For the 38th edition, Asankon had held a NF, The Asankoni Song in which 6 songs competed to represent the country at the contest in Kaministiquia. In late August, it was announced Rudimental featuring James Arthur's infectious song "Sun Comes Up" came out victorious. ARTVC are yet to decide whether they will continue using the national final format.
