Territrius, officially The Holy Kingdom of Territrius, is a country to the South-East of Internatia. It is only bordered by Nicolas' Neighbour. Territrius is the oldest country of Internatia, having been founded more than 3,000 years ago. The most remarkable fact about this is that the borders of the country have not changed in all these years; it has always been a microstate. The father of the current Baus of Territrius, King Nicolas II, said that his ancestors have never tried to conquer other countries, because it would have meant that the royal family had to take care of more people, thus having less attention for every respective member of society. They did not want this, as they wanted to care about every Territrian as much as possible, and that might have lessened if they had tried to expand. This also means that the love of the Territrians for their royal family is quite big.
Territrius in the Internatia Song Contest
As TV could not find the funds to host a big National Final, they have asked The Baus whether it was fine to conduct an internal selection. Upon hearing this, however, Nicolas III himself decided to put forward an artist, Katzenjammer, an upcoming band, considering Territrius is too small to have worldwide stars. He let the artist pick which song would be most suitable for an international contest, and the members of Katzenjammer decided on performing Hey Ho (On the Devil's Back).
The first edition of the Internatia Song Contest, ISC in short, was watched by many Territrians, achieving great ratings. This was by no means a surprise as big television shows like this are scarce in Territrius. Although Katzenjammer were no favourites to bring home the big prize, they managed to win the contest. They were hailed as heroes and were granted portraits in the public part of the royal palace of Nicolas III, known as the Wall of Fame.
For the next edition however, Cottidie, the main newspaper of Territrius, held a public poll on how the entry should be chosen. The majority voted for a National Final, so Nicolas III gave TV permission to organise a National Final. However, Anouk, a famous singer, a good friend of Queen Sofia and the vocal coach of Princess Lana, asked Nicolas III whether she could represent Territrius. The public opinion changed immediately considering Anouk's popularity, and Anouk was allowed to go to ISC. Nicolas III afterwards promised to personally fund the National Final for the next edition, especially considering that that edition would be held in Territrius.
