Bartlett participated in the Internatia Song Contest 83 in Ción, Lacrea with the song "Blue Sapphire" by Hiroomi Tosaka, selected from the national final BASIC organized by the national broadcaster Bartlett Broadcasting Corporation (BarBC). They failed to qualify for the Final.
BASIC
BarBC announced that it would revive Bartlett Assembly of Songs for International Competitions (BASIC) for ISC 83, its first edition dedicated to ISC. Ten songs were selected to compete, with the winner to be selected from votes by international juries. At the end of the contest, "Blue Sapphire" by Hiroomi Tosaka won with 58 points. It was later revealed that the fourth-placed "My Heart" by Christopher will be sent to the Outernatia Song Contest 59 in Levië.
