Grolskira is one of eight countries that participated in the very first Internatia Song Contest edition and one of two countries that participate in every edition of ISC.
ISC started on 11 October 2011, several months after the previous try to reboot it. At this very time Grolskira shaped up as a nation and confirmed their participation on the very first edition itself. GLTV provided themselves as the national broadcaster gleefully. The nation's first three attempts were poppy on at least some levels, with the first one sounded quite indie-ish but still normally poppy, the second one had some dancier and disco elements while the third one went on completely euro-poppy. Things changed a little when SNTV, Spirevo's national broadcaster, suggested a song for Grolskira's national final's Lakmosoja Y Lakma 4th edition, which was a rock song sung by a Spirevan band. After first three pop attempts completely flopped (and even the second edition of the contest taking another break of months and months from the first to be properly started on), the 4th one with different genre in mind hit the nation's first actual top 10 and this lead to Grolskira looking into more genres, which lead to the next ISC edition being at least a little different by including more than just what's mostly popular on the charts. They came 3rd with a folk song in ISC 5 and it was the best nation's results until the victory finally happened around 34 editions later. And rounded off the year with one of Irlandia's favourite songs, placing not-so-lowly.
2013 (ISC 7-18)
Lakmosoja Y Lakma 7 proved that Grolskira is interested in sending other languages to ISC, and a K-Pop song won the national final, the first one that gone to ISC before Kwonia existed. This was also the year semifinals started, with Grolskira starting out quite badly in the semifinals, but it didn't last very long as Grolskira qualified thrice after ISC 8. And with female vocalists, none the less. Though they ended up quite poorly, as well as ISC 10 has gone through a fiasco of hosts' disappearance until around March 2015 and unofficial results being hosted through by Lost Islands, and Grolskiric qualification being so much surprising to several delegations at the same time Grolskira themselves were sad that DPR Jindalea failed - and apparently Grolskira qualified thanks to not giving enough points to DPR Jindalea. Failing to win in ISC 9 as they hoped to win then, the nation thought that they could win in ISC 12 but it didn't happen either as they didn't qualify for 5 editions in a row, until ISC 16 - all in the same year. ISC 12's semi result revelation lead to old Grolskiric HoD shooting herself as well as many other citizens of the nation did the same. The next edition one of the current key singers of Grolskira won a small national final consisting of him and the later-to-be ISC 20 entrant, but like the last entrant, he failed mierably, finishing last but not so thanks to disqualifications. ISC 14 saw a weird woman trying to rock 'n' roll from Grolskira and was instantly not liked by quite a lot of nations, outcluding several. ISC 15 saw the introduction of IJ qualifier, and during that edition Grolskira was into mostly the popular stuff but another Spirevan artist won it. After her failure, GLTV set up a national final featuring one band singing 5 of their songs in Lithuanian - a tradition of theirs that is set up to happen every 16th edition. Horrified after them not qualifying, the nation took things on with their all-state-involving national final and it finally broke the chain of unsuccess the nation has had and managed to place 11th in the final, losing to the future Grolskiric ISC entrants that failed to qualify on their 2nd try. The year ended on a high-note, as Grolskira and Aonach hosted a joint NF together and while things didn't go well for Aonach, Grolskira reached Top 5 - their second one after ISC 5.
2014 (ISC 19-30)
After ISC 18 success, Grolskira managed to get 2nd on the first edition of year 2014, but went brutally down afterwards. Their ISC 20 entrant was badly successful in a lot of NFs that she's been in, including the one with the Internatian public vote in ISC 14, but earned a spot on ISC 20, as well as one in the final, much to most of Internatia's shock and eventual Chrunian disgust as they relied on Grolskira for points but they got nothing, still referencing that event for years and months to come. Then GrolSat joined as one of the other antional Grolskiric ISC broadcasters and Grolskira sent a highly-believed-in band after them failing to be Grolskiric host act after Grolskira didn't win in ISC 18, but they failed to qualify thanks to giving 10 points to Tashkveny in their semi, leaving Grolskira in major disappointment in their own failure. Things brightened up for a moment when the nation qualified for ISC 22 - ISC 24. Grolskira managed to join Kosma's and Tonallán's most popular national final, alongside with Spirevo, and even if their highest song in overall ranking came 6th, they qualified thanks to IJ support and still regards that one of their favourite qualifications - it came with an alternative song that was closer to Grolskiric hearts. ISC 23 saw one more Spirevan act from Grolskira that was expected to win but the nation was too foolish to believe in anything lower, as the song came 3rd last, and their next attempt to win, even if with them coming higher, wasn't a better choice to win with either. ISC 25 came on and GLTV with GrolSat expressed their interest in making recaps for that edition, and so they did, but their entry failed disastrously, even if it being sung by the act that is liked quite the most in Grolskira currently, and one of the nation's current, as of now and not back then, favourite songs. But Grolskira didn't want to lose the fun and decided to send their initial ISC 21 choice that was moved to ISC 26 due to participant's leg problems. And so they qualified even with the accusations of point whoring, but by the end of the year, Grolskira suffered four more failures in a row: with a dance track that features one of the more known music producers (ISC 27), ISC 13 entrant returning as part of a vocalist in an electronic band (ISC 28), a rather foul and heavy dance-punk song replacing the previous choice because of her different conflicts with the Grolskiric broadcasters as well as the one that failed the hardest (ISC 29) and a folk song GLTV and GrolSat wanted to win even when changing the band's song beforehand the contest secretly (ISC 30).
2015 (ISC 31-42)
GrolSat took things up in their vein more than GLTV, and pushed forward to send something quite different for ISC 31, and in the end that choice made Grolskira get a 4th place - something they've dreamed of to get for a while, and it repeated 2 more times the same year. The next Lithuanian song attempt failed, and it was chosen by Internatians throughout the joint Dvipantara and Grolskira national final. And after that Grolskira qualified even for 5 consecutive editions, with the first one of them bringing Grolskira another 2nd place, this time with their oldest in release entry sung by a few guys and that was faux-controversial as the song was a little bit more known and Sanlyona, the nation that is quite against male singers, joined the same edition. ISC 34 was the edition that had Grolskira sending a winner of a very huge national final that ran for months, and qualified with it. The nation enjoyed to qualify with that rock song as well, and loved its 8th place as well as the fact it scored the most 12 points that edition. For ISC 35 and ISC 36 (as well as ISC 41 but with the Grolskiric winning entry from there being sent to ISC 42) Grolskira was joined by 2 more countries each time for Modern Music Festival, whose purpose was to show off songs released in 2010's decade and making people vote for the best of the bunch. ISC 35 went on with Grolskira sending a duo with one of their few songs that are much different than what they usually do, especially compared to their next album that has quite more rap in the songs on there. And the experience with them was generally nice for Grolskira, at the time they also joined forces with Kosma (which is also the nation satisfied with Modern Music Festival's first edition winners the most and their predicted top 3 being IJ's Top 3 ofor Semi 1 too) to have a The Grolskira and Kosma Show as a pre-ISC/post-ISC talkshow and were talking of that edition's possibilities, mostly. And for ISC 36 Grolskira took a weird turn by sending Russian slutpop that was voted the highest by Modern Music Festival 2 voters, but still made it to the final before the genre started to flop quite a lot the later editions, especially a little heavier kind of. Holy ruler of Grolskira sponsored the ISC 37 national final because it was time for the icks that she prefers more to her heart as it was her birthmonth, and the winner of it was already a good and known song by some thanks to its Chinese cover that was tried to be snuck in to ISC 46 by Ruthsina because of the Chinese-Norwegian cultural appreciation. It placed goodly, and the next Grolskiric song didn't despite being suggested as something that could scream as "winning material". Howver, the real winner deal did eventually come on in ISC 39 when Grolskira won for the first time, much to some nations' disgust and the remainings' joy and indifference. BovineTV suggested Grolskira their ISC 40 entry that was the third one to get 4th place in 2015 for the nation, as well as it was sung in French and the one Sunetti liked a lot. And for ISC 41 Grolskira gleefully picked a song out that they really wanted to let out for a long time, calling it their most alternative one, not counting the alternative rock ones. And it placed very decently - 7th. However, the nation's enjoyment was quickly drowned by disappointment thanks to the only winning act of Grolskira coming from Modern Music Festival that didn't qualify, although the same artist was considered back in 2014 too as the other few nations begged a little bit for their other and more known and better song to be sent over an already chosen act.
2016 (ISC 43-54)
This year, however, was quite as bad as 2014, with half the acts making the final and half not, and that qualifier half didn't score amazingly, except for the ISC 44 entry - the first time Grolskira did well in Luzze. Though probably the part of the charm was the artist being already sucessfull in ISC with Sunetti, but not as much with placing. But the edition prior was met with failure instantly, especially with another artist that has been in ISC and people expecting at least a qualification from his fun tune. With major amount of entrants being returning from Grolskira this year or connected with other countries of past and present, many acts were destined to either flunk or make it through, and in ISC 45 another collaboration with Leshia from GLTV and GrolSat happened, and Grolskira qualified this time, but as the song already won OSC before for Kimmystan, others kinda grew tired of it. ISC 46 made Evergreen Lands dodge a bullet by withdrawing before ISC 41, as their one of beloved artists with the song suggested by Grolskira to Evergreen Lands failing to qualify sent for themselves. And then other three qualifications in a row happened: one given by Pebbleland's one of favourite artists currently with a quite touching song (ISC 47), a ballad by an artist that plays piano and had violins for that Lithuanian entry of the time (ISC 48) and indie-singersongwriter-like female song (ISC 49). ISC 50 came and Grolskira sent something rockier than they usually do sung by a female, with the song already drawing a lot of criticism from other places and finishing bottom in the semi, as well as the next entry that went electronically and synth-ish and was sung by two guys and was fairly unknown, and at that edition Grolskira won a prediction game that didn't give them their prize out since of non-qualification. Nevertheless, Grolskira qualified in ISC 52 thanks to a recent radio discovery and that delighted the nation quite much, considering they went through some more failing two editions after. In ISC 53 GLTV and GrolSat helped cTV and hTV with recaps completely (in ISC 37 ChTV and GrolSat with GLTV collaborated separately for recaps), while for ISC 54 Sunetti needed the voice of Grolskira's holy ruler to speak for the start of ISC 54 Semifinal 2 recap. For ISC 54 the nation felt a little traumatized for not qualifying with their first solely instrumental song (especially when winning the prediction contest again, but they did get the prize), but later on they shook it off.
